Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Simple Boxing Timer is built by an independent developer. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.

Summary

Simple Boxing Timer does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Everything the app stores lives only on your device.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, using Apple's on-device SwiftData framework:

None of this data ever leaves your device, is transmitted to the developer, or is shared with any third party. If you back up your device via iCloud or iTunes/Finder, this data may be included in that backup — that's standard iOS device backup behavior, governed by Apple's own privacy practices, not something this app controls or has access to.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

When naming a preset, you can optionally tap a microphone button to dictate the name instead of typing it. If you use this feature:

Apple's handling of Speech Recognition requests is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

Notifications

The app schedules local notifications entirely on your device to alert you to round/break transitions if you background the app during a workout. These are local, on-device notifications — no push notification server or external service is involved, and no data is sent anywhere to schedule or deliver them.

Live Activities (Lock Screen / Dynamic Island)

When you start a workout, the app displays a Live Activity showing your current round/break and time remaining on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. This content is generated and updated entirely on your device.

Children's privacy

Simple Boxing Timer is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
